Mother's Day and Father's Day Cards for the Troops

We put out the call and you responded once again to help us bring joy into the lives of some of our troops and their families. Over the last 4 years, we have collected more than 5000 cards for the troops to be able to send home for Mother's and Father's Day.
These cards were distributed to men and women who are currently taking part in pre-deployment training.  Classes from all branches of the military arrive every couple of weeks to undergo Combat Advisor training before being sent overseas.  This training usually begins at 5:30 a.m., continuing well into the evening 6 days a week and leaving the men and women precious little time to communicate with their families at home, so these cards are greatly appreciated.

I think this quote really sums it up:   "One young Airman commented 'it's pretty amazing to think that people I don't know care about me' as he selected his Mother's Day card."
