So what do you do when you’re Elena’s Chief Twitfacer and your laptop starts falling apart the week before you’re due to head to Chicago for LIVE from CHA Summer? Well, in my case, I contacted Kristina Libby from Microsoft. I knew her from the #winchat Twitter Chats that Windows hosts every Tuesday at 3 pm Eastern and thought it was worth a shot to see if there was anything she could do to help me out and thereby help Charity Wings. And she definitely came through!
Kristina immediately shipped out a loaner laptop that I was able to use at both CHA and BlogHer, allowing me to liveblog, tweet, and Facebook from both events. I could keep everyone updated on all the Charity Wings news as it happened and I’m sure this helped us sell more tickets and exceed our goal of $5000 for A Place to Bark. I was so happy to be able to meet and hug Kristina in person at BlogHer but still I cannot express my appreciation to Kristina and Microsoft enough. You were truly a lifesaver to us and to A Place to Bark.
