World Cardmaking Day: Meet the Demonstrators: Marisa Pawelko

Meet award winning celebrity crafter Marisa Pawelko. Armed with a formal education in furniture design, Marisa used her talents to design products for the gift, toy, fashion, jewelry and decorative accessory markets before turning her focus to the craft industry. In 2005, sparked with an idea to create a recycled baby memento-keeper out of one of her son’s baby food jars, she founded Modern Surrealist™ which quickly developed an international following.

Marisa is a spokesperson for Westcott Brand (aka The World’s Favorite Scissors™) and an official crafter for The Duck Brand® Duct Tape. Her unique promotional skills and stylish design aesthetic have been used to highlight many of the world’s top brands including but not limited to: VELCRO® Brand, SYROFOAM® Brand, Hasbro, Wonka, Disney and Barbie®.
